We started development of our site in 2006 as G.P.S. systems were just emerging onto the marketplace for motorists. We noticed that there was a lack of "POI" software for "Satnav" devices and began to develop point of interest information for the "Tomtom" 0v2 system, later expanding the service to include most makes of G.P.S..

Our aim would be to both, help the motorist to find places of interest that they would otherwise miss, and provide extra custom to the business community, putting both parties in touch with each other for their mutual benefit. Our objective would be to promote road safety and quality of service to the consumer. We also recognised that there were other sites emerging that were promoting a similar service to ourselves but were charging (sometimes excessively) for the information.

We felt that we needed to provide a service that would be totally free to the motorist and decided that we would use advertising on our web pages to cover our ever expanding web costs.

Over the last year we have developed and expanded our service, gaining experience to the extent where we are now the UK's No. 1 GPS information site with over 3.1 million downloads in 2009.

Our service to the motorist is completely free. However, we have to maintain our site and to help us do this we display sponsored advertisements on the left of our pages. This helps with the upkeep of the site. We do hope that your viewing experience is not affected too much by these adverts. Please look and see if there is anything you may be interested in on them. We are paid a few pence every time someone clicks on these sponsored adverts and every little helps.
